changed my 1 year old on to cows milk and now is struggling with constipation..

Keep to 3 glasses of milk a day. Then do water or juice (would not do too much juice though). The water or juice will help with the constipation also. Try to increase his fiber intake....doing more fruits (if he likes prunes that is a good one) applesauce is also good, but pretty much any fruit is good. Bananas can go either way....for some it helps with constipation and for others it makes it worse, so just watch that one. yogurt and blueberries are also good for constipation. If it seems to get worse talk with your doc. There are meds you can do, but it is always better to see if you can fix the problem without them. Sometimes once you start the meds it is hard to get off of them.
That happens sometimes. If he's not in pain or having accidents, don't worry about it--his muscles will get stronger. If you think he is in pain, try mixing a little formula into the milk and gradually decrease the formula and increase the milk until you are all milk again. This will make the change more gradual and allow his little digestive system to adjust.
