My son hates his tears panics and worries tells them to go away. It is obviously a sensory thing he's three and just been diagnosed as autistic.

Poor guy! Does he have any other aversions to sensory stimuli? Does he like/dislike certain textures, temperatures, sounds, smells? He could be super sensitive to the feeling. Keep note over the next week or so. If he seems overly sensitive to things, you may want to look into it. Your pediatrician or Parents as Teachers contact can point you in the right direction. It's so hard when we know our kids are hurting. Hang in there mom!

To me it kinda sounds like a control issue.. Him crying you working there wiping the tears away.. Sortta sounds like he's controlling his situation just fine.... Have you tried showing him to wipe tears away himself? Maybe squirting your face and pretending to cry, give him the tissue and roll play. Other than that I've never heard of a kid freaking out over his tears before

I have never heard of this before. Very strange. Do you think it is the fact that he has water on his face or he does not know why he has water on his face? When he is in the bath make sure to splash him lots to get used to the sensation of water on his face. Make a big game of it. You do not say how old he is? If he is two or older then you can try to explain to him about why we have tears and why they occur. Other than that I am at a loss. Maybe ask him if his tears hurt. Some kids get sore tear ducts. Its just a thought!
