Child Proofing Baseboard Heaters

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

Does anyone has a suggestion for what to use to cover baseboard heaters so that my daughter can't stick her fingers inside it and cut herself (as she already has)? They are electric baseboard heaters

Not sure if it will work on electric baseboard heaters
Our son, girlfrined & grandson live with us (10 months old)
We have hot water baseboard. I went to Lowe's & bought plastic gutter guard that has mesh on. I was able to tuck the gutter guard in along the top of the flange & down the front of the fins...FYI had to cut slots in for holding brackets where needed. Once in fit is tight & he cant get his fingers in at all.
Hope this helps !

I  bought a couple of stove/hotplate guards, for my boys  from toys r us it comes with 3 stick on clips and a guard that is safe with heat and I put it on the top edge of the opening and  they curve around so the heat can come through and the fingers cant get in?(kindof  put them on backwards....hope this makes sence to you.....this might be helpfull to you as well....i couldnt keep my kids hand outa there..worked great.....good luck!!!
