Sending money twice a month doesn't make anyone a parent. It takes more than money to love a child in my books.

I agree....but the child still deserves to have a relationship with both parents. regardless of the amount of money paid (or not paid). At the end of the day, our children are not commodities. They are not to be rented out. If you only allow a parent to visit a child base on how much they pay....you are treating your child like a commodity available for rent.

End of rant.

Very true. But there are many mothers and fathers out there who just don't care. Unfortunately there are also a great many mothers and fathers who actively seek to deprive their child of the other parent for their convenience. That is dead wrong. Children are not pawns in the game of revenge for relationships gone wrong, nor should the custodial parent act like they should dictate when and how the other side parent, and punish them by keeping their kids away from a parent who loves them. I am glad the courts these days are really working towards recognizing this behavior.

Very true. But you cannot force a person to love, and emotionally support a child. You cannot force someone to care and be active in their child's life. In the absence of that, they can at least pay towards the needs of the child they helped bring into the world.
