My son is 14 yrs old and has very severe autism. He cannot speak. He is also incontinent and an elopement risk.
Since puberty has begun, he is more aggressive, and is often very loud (yelling/screaming). The biggest problem we have right now and looking for some advice on, is the fact that when we put him in his room at night for bed, he takes his pull up off and takes feces and throws/smears it all over the room. He also urinates all over his bed, walls, floor, not to mention, himself...it is a huge mess every morning.
We have tried everything we know of...duct tape around his pull up, gloves with duct tape on his hands, and we also cut the feet out of some of those zippered pajamas and put them on him backwards zipping it up the back and then putting a belt around his waist and buckle it around back also. Zomehow he manages to get out of it all. We do t know what else to try. The messes are getting worse the older/bigger he gets. And to top it all off, since puberty, the new mess (as u can imagine...) is not much fun to clean up either.
Any help or ideas will be very much appreciated!
