My son is diagnosed with ADHD and has been on Concerta for two years. He had tics before starting the medicine. School testing, and stressful situations seem to bring them out. Over the summer, when he is not in school, the tics are completely gone. He had absolutely no tics this year until school testing started in early December. Now, I notice them when he has lots of homework, or during basketball games. He blinks his eyes so much I don't know how he sees a thing. I would like to know more about the supplements of calcium/magnesium people are talking about. It pains me to watch him. He is 10 years old, and up until now his friends haven't said a word about them, but I know that day will soon come when he is picked on for them and he is already an over-sensitive child. Would love more info.
