Hey , my little girl would like to go out as Sulley from monsters inc for Halloween .
The only costume I can find is online in a boys size. I'm just as curious if boys sizes
Are different then girls . And if I should buy it a little bigger or smaller then the size I would usually
Buy for her.
Any help would be appreciated

Boy and girl sizes are sometimes different. It depends on the store. Some of the stores we shop at use the same size chart for both genders, and others don't. Gymboree has one size chart. Lands End has one for girls and one for boys, and there are significant differences between their boy and girl sizes.

Costume sizing is crazy and notoriously unreliable though. If you can, try to find a site where the costume is reviewed extensively. People will often note in reviews how well the costume size matched up with the size their child normally wears.

And if it's really important that this costume work out, order two sizes and either return or sell the one you don't need.

Until they are in adult sizes, boy and girl sizes are the same. Boys clothes are made to be a little baggier than the fitted girl styles, but the costume should fit the same way, so it won't matter.
