Good day all.
My baby has been diagnosed with severe HIE and doctors has said not to expect much from her. So far she has she has done everything that was said she won't be able to do. She is now rolling over, she is feeding good. Her movement is good. Her eyes are following, all these things doctors said she wont do. Or is this normal for HIE kids? My pediatrician doesnt want to do another MRI.

Hello there.
Hope your baby is doing well.
My girl too is diagnosed with HIE.
She is one year old and not grasping or reaching for anything
Please can you help me with any advice how to encourage her.
All the best

A baby born with an ischemic brain injury may have a huge range of milestones. Some she will reach and others she may not. What benefit do you see from having an MRI? If she is already exceeding expectations then why not just keep up with therapy and celebrate her achievements?
