I am new to this group and was apprehensive about joining one but I am in need of support. My story... I had my daughter who was born with a right aortic arch and vascular ring. She underwent a miccray analysis and was found to have a microduplication on her 12th chromosne (long arm). Doctors don't have enough info so therefore they can't tell me anything. I love my daughter to death but this experience as a new mom has been so stressful. Amen, my baby girl is healthy but is showing signs of dd. I already knew she would have some delays but I'm afraid that they may be bad.....She's 19 months and gets around by army crawling, if she wants something she will grab my hand to bring me but will not use her eyes to communicate. She doesn't make much eye contact and this makes me feel really uncomfortable in social situations when people are trying to get her attention. REALLY TOUGH. She is really loving and likes to cuddle and seems to be good with her hands.
My question????? Can anyone relate? Did your child eventually make better eye contact with age? Any advice?
