My daughter (4 years old) has bronchitis all winter, she is sick for the 3rd time this season and its only December. Standard treatment is antibiotic/oral steroid/nebulizer . Any feed back on how I should investigate the cause of this or alternative treatment? Should she be tested for Allergy, Asthma? Any thoughts on dairy products aggravating these symptoms?

COPD, which chronic bronchitis is, can be inherited. It can also be caused by exposure to second hand smoke or other particulates in the air.

You could have her evaluated for asthma, but it may be better to look at her surrroundings to see what's triggering her.
