Your sons doctor should have told you how to care for it. I put cream I think neosporin on it and with a gauze just placed on top, then a diaper, after a few days it should be fine. My boys are 6 and 4, so it has been a while. Just make sure to change the gauze and be gentle when cleaning it.

yeah you can it does differ from hospital to hosital or dr to dr with my son he got it done when he was born and the nurse told us to put a TON of vassaline on the diaper where his penis is going to be and keep anything away from that area other places i know they use gows (sp) and i dont remember doing that at all i dont remember a ton about cleaning it i think if we took a wipe to it we did it very very gentaly just watch it mostly and make sure it doesnt bleed a ton or get super red or swolen but your dr will help you out with learning how to clean the area and what to do with the diaper and all of that or if he doesnt a nurse probably will wish you the best of luck

Definitely ask your doctor! I was told to keep a diaper on him, and to use gauze and bag balm. I think the gauze was only to be used until the bleeding had completely stopped. By the way, that bag balm really works! It has so many uses. It's great on cradle cap too! You can find it at a pharmacy. Good luck! =)

Do not worry, the hospital will explain to you how to care for and clean the circumcision. Yes you can diaper the baby as soon as he is circumcised. The nurse came to my room took my son to where the procedure was being performed they did the circumcision and returned him to my room with a diaper on. They explained everything I needed to know when he came back to the room. Everytime I changed his diaper I was to place a drop of vaseline on the area to prevent it from sticking to the diaper until it was healed. It will be fine and if you are uncomfotable or unsure about it do not be afraid to ask questions. The doctors and nurses are there to educate you as well as tend to you and your baby's medical needs! Good luck and congrats on the new baby!
