Clearing some things up about "Sesame Street" Post

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

Okay, i don't think there is anything wrong with people being who they want to be, I'm not against that AT ALL.

What i don't agree with is Sesame Street letting Blog wear a Cinderella gown and heels. Now that's my personal opinion and I am not looking for anyone to agree with that.. Many of you have clearing voiced your differences already.

I may not have worded it in the best way, but my post was intended to be specifically about Sesame Street & the gown, NOT about homosexuals and their lives.

I do believe that gay is not the way God intended people to be (my personal religion), but i personally do not think they are a threat to society nor should they be treated inhumanely by homophobic individuals.

I assure you all that I am not homophobic, everyone is entitled to their own identities. I just personally would not condone such a thing.

Some of you got highly upset and it really annoyed me, because i would not try to change anyone elses views nor would i judge someone else based on our differences.

I do apologize to anyone that the post may have offended, but i do stand by my personal views. I have closed the posts to future comments, so I hope everyone could accept my apology and move on.

Thank you.

Just as you think you're entitled to your opinion so are other moms. You come on a world wide forum making very bold statements about your opinions you must be prepared with the backlash. If you expect everyone to agree with you I suggest you make these statements to your friends not a bunch of strangers on the Internet. They've locked the last two threads and I'm sure this one will be locked too since it's the third one you've started about the same topic which obviously is a very hot button topic. You made your opinion known I would suggest you move on to something else.

Well, I didn't read your post on this page, but if it's the same as the one you posted on Debating Mum's.... sorry, your position is the one that makes no sense to me.

It has nothing to do w/ 'cross dressing' and everything to do w/ kids being KIDS.

Amy, i've acctually locked them. & like i said a million other times, i wanted other people's opinion, not people getting upset and hurt because their children are doing it.. It was not personal. Now, i suggest you be the one to move on, because you are yet again carrying on with the topic, that i clearly wrote to post for closure. Good day!

Like i've said before, you are the only one who've appeared to have some common sense and understood the definition of opinion. The only thing people saw was boy's wearing girl's clothing and got upset because they allow their children to do it, which i care nothing about!

lol i did not ask them what their sons wore nor did i say their sons were homosexuals, because they were allowed to wear that stuff!

I don't really know how they took my simple opinion and made it so personal! It still didn't change how i feel about the situation! I mean so what if i don't believe children should cross dress, I won't allow my child to do it, just like alot of other normal, traditional parents in the world!

My point was solely about Sesame street, not anyone's gender specific preferences! haha, i just sit back & laugh, because it makes no sense to take that so literal! lol
