Im a first time mom to a 4 month old and for last two weeks I have been concerned over an issue with my health. I have been to the dr for this issue containing a lump/ mass looking thing in my throat on the soft palete, close to where your tonsils are. it is not painful and my lymph nodes arent swollen. my dr prescribed me an antibiotic called azithromycin that didnt help it and says the cause is from sinus drainage. I called the nurse to ask what I should do next she said to take zyrtec every night before bed. Both my mom and sister felt like I should give my dr a chance instead of making an apt with an ent but I cant help but worry its something worse. i'm not a smoker or drinker and from what my dr and family say both think its a swollen gland. Should I give the zytrec more time or just see an ent. I guess I'm just worried the most being a single mom, and something happening to me since I'm the only parent that takes care of her.

Trust your gut. If you feel it is something more than what you're being told, seek a second opinion. You know your body better than anyone else. And there's no harm in seeking another professional's opinion. They may catch something that your regular doctor may have missed.
In a best case scenario, you'll have them tell you that it's nothing bad, that your gp is right and that it's just a bit of swelling or whatever. Worse case scenario, even if it IS something bad, the faster you catch it, the better off you'll be.
