Im 12 weeks pregnant and have been on seroquel 150mg i had not been able to see my psychiatrist because he was not seeing patients i saw a psychiatrist and i explained to him the situation that i was pregnant and i didnt know if i had to stop taking the seroquel he just lowered the.dose from 300 to 150mg today i saw my psychiatrists and he said that i had to stop taking it and that i shouldnt have been taking it in the first place im so confused and scared my baby is in danger i had also gone to the ER because i felt i was having a depression episode and the doctors there told me to keep on taking the seroquel has anyone experienced something similar?

This is fairly confusing. You say that you didn't see your psychiatrist because he wasn't seeing patients. Then you say that you DID see a psychiatrist...but that your psychiatrist didn't agree with what that one told you...?

First, stop going to multiple doctors. You should be consulting with the psychiatrist that prescribed the medication, not with multiple ones.

Second, your OB will also be able to tell you which medications are not safe for you to take while pregnant. Ask them as well.

You need to see your regular psychiatrist as soon as possible, and also ask your OB. There is no reason all of your doctors cannot be a treatment team for you.
