I am 34.5 weeks with #4.. I started dilating and softening a month ago. Never had this with first 3. My contractions are horrible and about 9mins in my back and lots of vaginal pressure. Dr said this is normal and to worry when they are 5 mins apart. My first was on time, 2nd was 2 weeks early, 3rd was 3 weeks early. Any suggestions....it's been 8 years since last baby

Omg I'm so sorry that happened to you but I'm glad you're okay now. That seems very petulant but I wouldn't be surprised if he was being neglectful because of the lawsuit. I'm sure you and your baby will be fine if you keep going with how you feel. My doctor is a woman and she's nice and bubbly and I see her every 6 weeks for 5 minutes but I'm planning on "just not making it" to the hospital for delivery lol I trust myself and my body more than I trust hospital staff. My mom thinks I'm crazy but I've never been wrong about anything to do with my own body and doctors have been wrong most of the time because they refuse to listen to me when I tell them what's going on. Just because I don't have an expensive medical degree doesn't mean I don't know my body. Gah! Doctors piss me off and my hormones make it worse lol

I'm totally with you... It is a man.. Like I told my husband I think he is pissed because he is part of my lawsuit with Johnson & Johnson for putting that defective mesh in me and ruining my life... I didn't think I could get pregnant, I lost an ovary and had a hemmoraging mass on the other.. Meds like you wouldn't believe. But I got pregnant and this baby healed that mass..... I've been to er and they looked at me crazy, by I think the dr was 12 years old. I'm going with my gut and not really listening to close to them.... I have a 18.5, 9.5 and almost 8 year old... At 16 with my first I knew what to do..... So I can handle it at 34.... Lol

I really hate doctors sometimes (often), you know your body better than any education they have is going to say, especially when it comes to make doctors. No offense to any male ob/gyns but they don't know shit about pregnancy and being a woman other than what they can read in a textbook. Honestly just keep listening to your body and if you really feel it's necessary demand to see someone or go to the ER. In the beginning of this pregnancy I had to go see a doctor because I was concerned about abnormal (for me) spotting and he asked me if I was having any cramps and I told him, "just the normal early pregnancy cramps." And he gave me this look like I had 3 heads and didn't believe that it was normal. -.- If you're like a lot of women and are very in tune to your body, you know what's best. Doctors don't know everything.

My dr won't even check me, he says all this is normal for someone who has had children. This never happened with first 3.... I had BH but these are timable hard painful contractions.... He won't even give it a second thought until they are 5mins apart.... All of my labors decreased by 1/2 with each pregnancy..... I'm just resting alot and going with what my body says

I'm with you... Last night I was walking and got this jolting sensation, I thought I was gonna give birth in the mall.... We didn't walk long just enough to settle what I had for dinner. Eating is making me very sick. I rest all day since I stay home. My two girls are in school, so I rest alot but I contract and have pain even laying. My friend is aL&D nurse and she said the same, make it o over 35 weeks... Under goes to NICU... I measure 36.5 weeks, I told the nurse my LMP was wrote down wrong but dr won't change it. I know my body, this is baby #4 thank you for your reply

Maybe lay down as much as possible? I was in a hurry to be born and wanted to come before my lungs were developed and the doctors told my mom to lay down and then I was born at 37 weeks to the day. This one just might be a little eager to get here. If you can lay down as much as possible over the next 2.5 weeks early delivery won't be a problem. Babies born between 37 weeks and 42 are considered full term and are developed enough to be fine. It's babies 36 weeks and under that are considered preemies and need special care in the beginning.
