Does anyone have a preschooler (almost 4) year old that is having behavior issues? Since the last doctor appointment and her levels not being regulated and suddenly she is acting out, not sleeping saying she is tired all the time but she isnt getting enough sleep. She is having tantrums and biting herself pulling out her hair and saying she doesnt know what is wrong when I ask why she is upset. I can only assume that this is because we havent been able to get her on a dose to regulate her meds but is anyone else at all going through anything like this???

She takes a good nap but sometimes its an hour and sometimes it is 2 hours. But she isn't sleeping more than 6-8 hours per night so she is definitely not getting the sleep she needs. But her being so young they haven't talked about taking it out or anything but because she is so young she doesn't know how to express herself and tell us whats wrong so its very stressful at home and we are trying very hard to be understanding to the issue but its hard for mommy and daddy also :(

I am trying everything I know and reading anything in print about this and what we can do so thats the best I can hope for right now

I am on Euthyrox, just saw now its the same as levothyroxin. Its a bummer that they cant get the dose right faster,i guess she must also wait atleast 3-4weeks to check the levels after recieving a new dose? I only got checked once since the operation, using Euthyrox 100 but it isnt enough, now i am on 125...must get checked again. May i ask if she has a fast pulse? Have the doctors or endocrinologist ever mentioned getting operated? Shame, its not nice that such a young child has to deal with this. Its not nice to feel so tierd and not sleep well at night. Does she rest alot during the day?

She has been taking Levothyroxin since she was born. We have never had a problem getting her meds regulated until now. She is also tired during the day and not sleeping at night. I dont know when they would decide to take the thyroid out but its been 60 days and we 2 changes to her meds and we still cannot get them regulated ;( All I can do is keep her from feeling like she is in trouble because she cannot express herself and her feelings and she is constantly tired. Thanks for the feed back and knowing that I am not alone

I had thyroid problems for over 5yrs,an overfunction and the meds didnt help. In August they removed my whole thyroid..now the levels are to low and trying to get the right dose. I am tierd alot during the day but at night i cant sleep well. I think when they find the right dose by your daughter she will feel better. May i ask what meds she gets? Hope they find the right dose for her soon and that she feels better. I know my situation is different, but i thought i would let you know that the feeling tierd but not getting enough sleep is from the thyroid levels.Good luck
