Gage is almost 3 and he has had constipation issues since he was born. I used to have to give him suppositories and now the problem is still there. The DR says its his diet but he has had this issue from day 1, so I dont really see how it could be his diet. Anyone else had these problems?

Maybe give him a course of probiotics, you can get powder to put in their milk or water instead of capsules for children.

My friends daughter always had problems up til 4 years old. She finally had her tested for gluten allergy. The minute she was not eating gluten she was no longer in pain. This is extreme but a possibility.

Have you tried introducing more water, or fruit like prunes or apricots to help him. Also prune juice is great if he will drink it. My son has had problems in the past but he loves prunes so i just give him some when needed and all is well. Good luck.

Yea I make sure he gets plenty of veggies and whole grains. He has had this issue since birth even before he started eating regular foods. He has always, always, always had constipation problems, and my other child goes regularly.

What about the family diet? Does he eat similar to how you eat? Can you improve everyone's diet? More fiber, veggies, whole grains, etc can really help!
