Hi, Im 29 weeks pregnant and have already been having contractions! Im pretty sure they are just Braxton Hicks and not going into labor. When I was pregnant with my little girl 4 years ago I never really had contractions up until a few weeks before she was born. With my little boy that Im currently pregnant with now has been giving me lots of mid back pain here lately and some tightening in my upper stomach. But sometimes I cant tell if they are contractions or just the baby putting a lil bit more pressure than usual that may not be serious. When I have these back and stomach pains its mainly in my back and it lasts for 2-3 minutes and then goes away and sometimes my area "down there" hurts while im just sitting there. But my question is "Is it just back pain or is it contractions?" This pregnancy is completely different than the last one lol I just want to make sure my babys not gonna come too early. Anybody had the same thing round about this time of pregnancy?

When it happens.... drink some water and go lie on your left side for a bit... if possible. If you have more than 4 in an hour... call the doctor asap. Otherwise, you 'should' be fine, but definitely bring it up at your next appointment... or earlier if you are worried.

Sounds like just BH's to me. I got them more the second time, and like CRAZY this time, and I'm only 25 weeks. When you do get them, try drinking more water and/or having a snack, walking or stretching, and the best for me for lower back pain and contraction pain has always been muscle rub (something like icy hot or even vicks vapor rub, works wonders, totally safe). AND, my cervix felt more, faster in my pregnancy each time. I feel pressure already with this one. Keep up your keagals, they come in handy later,

Thanks all of this is helpful? I knew about drinking water and laying on the left side but I drink water I just never get to lay down like I want to until bed time :( I had to go to the emergency room Sunday about an irregular heartbeat so Im going to see my regular doctor tomorrow and get a Cardiology referral. Ill make sure to tell them everything possible.
