My son is 8mo old on Monday. He's been nursing since day one. I started to spot yesterday (maybe finally getting my first period?) Well, RJ has not wanted to nurse much since yesterday. I've still been pumping and he's taken bottles of breast milk that are a day or two old, but Not the fresh stuff. When he Does nurse, or take a bottle of fresh milk, he spits up right afterwards. Could this be because of hormonal changes from me getting a period? Is this normal?

Some people say it doesn't but I felt like it did with my daughter. I could always tell when it was coming because she would fight the feeding, and I also felt like my supply dropped slightly which may have been the reason for her aggravation. I used to start the feeding with a bottle and then switch her over to the breast to complete the feeding.

My sister-in-law says it does, but if you're persistent the baby gets used to the taste.
