I had my last period around june 16th and was due to start around july 13th keep in mind it is (July 19th now) about a few days before I was suposed to start I started spotting brownish looking blood for a few days and now it has stopped. No period yet and I took a pregnancy test this morning which showed negative. I have 2 girls and I never experianced any kind of bleeding when getting pregnant with them but I heard and read that this could be inplantation bleeding. So I am wondering if I could be pregnant my first test never has showed postive and maybe I am not far enough along for it to show. I am on birth control but missed a pill about a week ago so just wanted to know what any one else thinks. Any thoughts or comments would be helpful if anyone has had this happen to them.

If you are confident you were ovulating and had sex, then did not have a "typical" period. I'd do a home test. You generally ovulate 14 days prior to your period starting. So, if you WERE ovulating, had sex, then had peculiar spotting.....that could indicate a pregnancy. The spotting can represent implantation. Do a test.

Cassandra, if you got your period you can anticipate that you aren't pregnant. When did you have unprotected sex?

I had breakthrough bleeding (or implantation bleeding) when I got pregnant with my daughter but it was more like spotting. Usually the implantation bleeding happens between five and seven days of becoming pregnant (see if that coincides with the last time you had intercourse). This bleeding could also be a side effect of the pill....it can happen even if you have been on the pill for years and never had any effects before. All pregnancies are different from one another so this could just be part of this one if you are preggers. You can always retest in a few days and if it comes up negative go see your doctor so they can take a blood sample to test for pregnancy. Good luck.

I would wait for a week or two and then retest if you still have not gotten it. You could just be late for some reason. Good luck:0)

Yeah you could be pregnant but it could be too early to tell. Wait a couple more days and test again. Good luck

It could be implantation bleeding that you experienced. I would wait a few more days before you test again. Sometimes certain tests don't detect small enough amounts of the hCG hormone, or conception could have happened later than the "average" if you don't have regular cyles. Best of luck to you & if you are pregnant I wish you the happiest, healthiest pregnancy! Blessings, Nikki

What you're describing sounds really close to what happened to me. I spotted with implantation and was a few days late with my period. I had always had irregular periods so that alone wasn't enough to make me think I was pregnant. I just kind of knew. I agree with the other advice on here. I'd wait a few more days and test again. If you are pregnant, Congratulations!!

You could be but it may be too early to find out. I spotted with implantation. Skipping a pill can also cause some spotting and change your hormone levels just enough to throw your period off. I would wait 5 more days and try another pregnancy test or go to the doctor for a blood test if you want to find out sooner. My last period was also on June 16th and I think I may also be pregnant. But, my breasts are also very sore so I have other symptoms that make me suspect. My first test, which I took on day 30 of my cycle, was negative. So I am waiting until tomorrow and taking another test. Good luck.

I'd wait a few days, I don't fully trust over the counter pregnancy tests, I took two of them when I was pregnant with my son and then even went into the doctor to have one done just to make sure.

I'd wait a few days and retest. I tested negative both times I was pregnant. When I tested about a week after the missed period, they were positive.
