Cows milk

I have a 8 month old and I'm thinking of trying her on cows milk but I'm not sure if i need to water it down or just give it to her out of the carton in to a bottle can any one please help me on this and what amount should i be giver her each day.

No, she is too young. There are reasons that cows milk is not recommended until at least 12 months. Right now, she needs the nutrients that are in formula and/or breastmilk, and these should be the only two forms of milk your baby should have. By drinking cows milks she will be missing many nutrients that contribute to her growth and development. This could potentially have long term effects on your child.

In addition to this, there is also evidence that an infant's stomach is not sufficiently mature to break down the proteins in cows milk. The proteins in breastmilk and formula are different and are perfect for baby's immature digestive system, but starting them on cows milk too early can cause digestive issues.

Finally, there is also evidence that's cows milk not only doesn't contain much needed iron, but also actually DEPLETES irons stores, which will have a negative effect on your baby.

So please do NOT feed your little one cows milk until she is 1.

Ok thank u for letting me know i was still going to keep her on the formula but give her cows milk also just during the day. But i will just hold off its not long now till she is one any ways so thats no problem. Thank u again very much.:)
