Have you tried taking benadryl (or something like a tylenol pm) to help you sleep? I don't think anyone should take medical advice from a stranger over the internet, so I also recommend speaking to your doctor or the hospital staff about this first, but benadryl is safe to take in pregnancy, and can help you to get some rest. Unfortunately, the more tired and sleep-deprived that you are, the less able you become to cope with very normal, yet miserable, symptoms of the third trimester of pregnancy.

If benadryl doesn't work for you, you can speak with your doctor about giving you a prescription for one or two sleeping pills that are safe to take in pregnancy. It sounds like what you really need at this point is a solid chunk of sleep to help you better cope both mentally and physically with the aches and discomforts of being this pregnant.

At this point, there really isn't much your doctor or the hospital can do for you. For most women, these last few weeks of pregnancy are just plain uncomfortable. The increased discharge and intermittent cramps are normal. They are not going to go away until after that baby is actually born.

It seems that you've been to the hospital and you've seen and/or talked to your doctor to rule out any unusual problems or infections. That tells me that what you are experiencing is just the typical end-of-pregnancy discomforts. The cramping you are feeling while peeing is most likely a result of the baby's position in relation to your bladder. Oftentimes, the head is pressing against the bladder, which leaves you feeling that urge to pee all of the freakin time. Then, when you go, only a little bit comes out because the pressure of that presenting part is blocking off a part of the bladder, leaving you unable to fully empty it. It's annoying as hell, but completely normal for this stage of pregnancy.

Unfortunately, there really isn't much anyone can do for you at this point. You can try taking long baths - soaking in water often helps to alleviate a lot of these discomforts. Stay well-hydrated: drink, drink, drink, and then drink some more. The uterus is a muscle, and if you aren't drinking enough, that already-stretched out muscle gets irritated and starts contracting. These aren't labor contractions, and don't do anything more than make you even more miserable than you already are.

You can try the occasional dose of tylenol for these aches and pains; although it's never done much for me personally, it does take the edge of these aches and pains for some.

Most of us have been where you are at, and sympathize with just how physically miserable these last few weeks of pregnancy can be. Try to remember that it doesn't last forever - that baby WILL come out sometime in the next few weeks, and all of this will seem totally worth it :)

Hi nelida, the same happened to me! I went on vacation with my husband and family and we walked a lot!!! We went to the zoo and the caverns and San Antonio down town just to get to know the place. Two days later we came back home and I stated having pressure down there and lots of cramps like my period but worst! I went to emergency and was told that I was having Braxton hicks so I had to rest and put my feet up against the wall (me laying down) I been having Braxton hicks for 2 weeks now and the doctor said that I could be having my baby in a month or so! Don't freak out, your body is getting ready for labor which is totally normal unless you can't take the pain then go to emergency or if you start bleeding or discharging a lot or if your water breaks! This is my first pregnancy too and I'm 30weeks pregnant!
God bless, and I hope it all goes well :)

Woww, cant you change the doctor, that is so rude! I wouldnt want to go to her anymore, are there other doctors at the hospital?maybe you could ask for another doctor.I mean what is selfish about wanting to know your babies gender! How does it work where you live?Do you get to choose a doctor and midwive that help you and will be there by the birth or are you at a hospital and you get the doctor and midwives that work there?

If i were you i would call the doctor now.. it sounds very much like contractions. Tell them that they come every ten minutes. Good luck and keep me updated :-)

How often does the pain come? Was it just once? Its possible that your body is getting ready for labour.
