So my mom has always been a little "off", she really didn't want me as a child and my grandparents raised me unitl I went to school. She has always had issues with my husband even before we had a child, since having a kid, things have gotten much worse. She wants to see him constantly and when told no she throws a fit. Because she cant get her way. She is very overbearing always wanting to help. When she doesent get her way she stops talking for a couple weeks then starts in with nasty text messages about me and especially my husband. Recently we have stood our ground and not allowed her to see our kid for 6 weeks now, there are weekly nasty texts, We just want her to have a civil conversation with us which she refuses to do. She passed us at 90 mph on a blind corner the last time we told her no, its craziness. Now she is going to our childs daycare twice in 3 days, our provider will not let her in. She refuses to talk to us, and she is making things worse with the daycare issue, she has threatened taking us to court for visitation, what should I do?

Have you involved the police at all? I would either talk to an officer or a lawyer and see what, if anything, you can do. You might be able to get a restraining order against her.

We live in NY, which i dont think has grandparent rights, not sure though. I figured we have enough evidence to help us, im just afraid where it goes next in the mean time.

Document her actions. File police reports when she is stalking or doing something crazy (showing up at the daycare... driving 90mph...). If she ever does try taking you to court you should have enough evidence for it to not go anywhere.

Do you even live in a state that has grandparent's rights? Not all states have that.
