My daughter is 3months and for the last couple of weeks she has been really angry and hysterical when it comes to bedtime. She naps perfectly fine with minimal sooking now and then and can self soothe in the middle of thenight. Its just such a battle to get er to sleep.

She no longrr wants her paci since she discovered her hand and she doesnt fall asleep with rocking.

Not sure what ican do. We have a pretty solid bedtime routine andher bedtime is 7-7.30.

Are babies extra fussy angry when they dont want to go to bed? Shes wde awake sometimes but she shows signs of being tired. Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks.

@ Ariana

No I don't expect her to sleep all night and am happy to feed her whenever she needs it.

After her night time routine, (so bath, a little talking/play time, feed and change diaper if need be) it's bed time. So she's not dirty or hungry.

I did consider that she might be upset because she wasn't tired yet...but sometimes she just sits there and zones out or yawns alot, and that's already past my cue to get her to bed.

She gets fed once in the middle of the night and once early in the morning. I might give her a later bed time but really dont want to risk her being over tired when she's already looking so tired at 7pm :(

How long are you expecting her to sleep? Is she supposed to sleep all night? My sons bedtime used to be at 10:30-11pm because he did not need as much sleep. Maybe she is upset because she doesn't need to sleep as long as you want her too.

She may not want to self-soothe herself, at 3 months you probably should be seeing what's up when she's crying. Does she get fed during the night?

My suggestion would be to give her a later bedtime. Try to put her to bed at 9:30 instead of 7:30. Even my 3 year old goes to bed at 9 right now and still wakes up pretty early.
