Hey there:
7 months ago I moved with my family to Florida from Cuba . As the kids are still adjusting to school, I took them every morning and pick them up in the afternoon.Today it was rainnig a lot when I pick up my daughters at high school. They were waiting with a friend of their class and asked me to give her a ride. She usually walks home alone so, so that the girl would not get wet we took her in our car. My concern is this , It´s ok to give a ride to my daughters 's friends ? In Cuba it is normal but I´m afraid that here this could bring me some problems.

I have done it with friends of my kids as well as other Mothers doing it for mine. I'm in Australia. Unless the Mother is paranoid about something happening to her child it should be fine. She obviously isn't like that since the child usually walks home alone.

If you are concerned you can always have the friend give her mother a call first.

Typically by the teen years it would not be an issue for a kid to catch a short ride home w/ another teen's parent. If it were an elementary school aged child I would advise to definitely get the green light from a parent as parents 'tend' to be a bit more overprotective w/ younger kids.
