Can you go back and fight for custdy for your children after the courts give custdy to father?

If you were given supervised visitations a year ago... have you complied w/ the court order? Have your circumstances improved over the past year vs. whatever reason you were given supervised visitations?

If your circumstances have improved and/or you have complied w/ all stipulations of the court order and you have proof of this... you absolutely can petition the court for more/unsupervised visitations.

Speak to a lawyer about your circumstances and your chances.

Like Sarah said, you need to show that the circumstances have changed. Whatever the reason was to make the judge rule the way they did needs to change.

Of course you can choose to go back and fight/appeal the decision. But whether or not it is viable will depend on the circumstances.

Depends. If you were stripped of your parental rights, then no. If your children were given to their father because you were unable to parent at the time; then yes you could go back and fight for them. Whatever reasons the judge had for placing the kids with dad, must be different now or the judge would not have cause to change the order. Do you have any custody or visitation presently? How long ago were your kids placed with dad and was this the original order?
