The child should be able to have a relationship with both parents, unless one parent poses a danger to the child. Best to do it legally, versus getting yourself thrown in jail and losing any right you might possibly have to be with her.

Has she not had a relationship w/ her father the past 9 years... or has she? If she has had a relationship w/ him and you suddenly stop letting her see him... he can take you to court for parental alienation and he would have just cause to potentially get full custody.

If your daughter has lived withnthe other parent for 9 years,how is she going to ferl with changing fom the home that she is familiar with. Its best if her parents can communicste and work out a situation that is positive and gives both parents access. Try a mediator through the state before you have an adversial relationship. I
