Should I go and obtain full custody, child support once my son his born since I know his dad has a history of not taking care his other 2 kids, 20,000 dollars in back child support and has a history of running in and out of his kids life? He's trying to fight me for joint custody, but gave the other 1 of his baby mothers full custody and his mother has custody of the other while he is living a happy life bout to get married and take trips. So am I wrong for not wanting my sonwhen he is born to deal with this at all?

it is natural for you to want to keep your son. I wouldn't let the father have him either. Put it this way, I'd rather to be dead to give up one of my children. If I need to go after custody and child support, I would. If the father of your son already owes money for child support. This will be in your favor for custody. To me he is being an ass if he's trying to get joint custody, when he isn't taking care of his other kids and gave fully custody to another mother. Sounds like he can't keep his private part to himself. I'd get full custody of my son and make him pay child support. If he don't pay child support...push it, cause they can give him jail time for that.Like I said if he owes child support on other children , that can be brought up in the court room and that he is in and out of his other children's lives. Make sure you get a good lawyer. If you don't and you are going to represent yourself, Make sure you go get law codes on everything you can think of, of bringing up his past, make sure you get that back child support papers he already owes. cause that shows the courts that he can't take care of a child. good luck and congrats on your baby

Thanks so much I thought I was wrong because of what others were saying. I'm not even letting my son take his last name.
