i recently moved out of state with my two children. their father was never around and now hes wanting to see them now that i am gone. what rights will he have if he goes to court? he does not have a good family.. when i was there getting my things his sister and his uncle went to jail for assult and battery on me and my step dad. he has always done drugs( but he says hes getting clean now) and hasnt had a steady job for a while. id hate to have to drive back and forth from FL to SC just so the person that never cared in the first place can see them. what can i do? and what do you think will happen if he wants to go to court?

Usually for visitation each parent drives one way. So either he would pick them up and then you would pick them back up from him or vice versa. Or you can both meet in the middle both ways.

Either or Both, it depends on what you agree to. If it goes in front of the judge then it's up to the judge.

Yup wait to have him take you to court. However, if there is no abuse against the kids, doesn't live with his family then he most likely will get visitation and possibly some form of custody.

I wouldn't cave to ANY request by him AT ALL until you get a summons to go to court, PERIOD.
