Cyclone Yasi Mums!

[deleted account] ( 4 moms have responded )

For those who went through the cyclone how did you fair? and how are you and your family coping? We still dont have power and there is no running water in Townsville. Marshall is very un-easy as his cheese sticks are unedible and so is his moo moo milk and not bathing before bed has really put him out. We're still not in our home due to no power we rode out the storm at my mums then we came to dad's cos he had power. mentally i dont think im doing so well...how are all you doing?

I heard about this on the news last night. I feel for all of you and hope that everyones ok.

I live on the east coast in the US so we get some pretty bad hurricanes but never ever anything of that magnitude.

Back in 2004 or 05, we had hurricane Isabel that was a Cat 5 but was downgraded to a Cat 1 before it hit us and it DEVESTATED us.

I hope all the babies are all ok too.

We were supposed to cop rain but never did and then by this morning it had been downgraded to category 2 I hope it stays that way!

we had 135 kmph winds and loads of rain and we were nowhere near where it hit. just awful! it will take awhile for the sound of the wind and image of the trees bending out of my head. further north of us had it so much worse though i couldn't imagine 260 kmph winds! at least marshall slept through it all

I wasn't in Cyclone Yasi but how did it go down? I heard there were about 4 births during the cyclone too!
