Didn't know how to word the subject of this. But my 9 month old daughter just learned how to say Dada. Sadly, He (deadbeat) father is not in the picture and has been since she was 5 weeks old. How do i explain to her that my current boyfriend isn't her dad?

*My current boyfriend was there for me through my whole pregoness with her and was around alot after she was born and now*

Again, consistent correction every time. "not Dada, Sam" (or whatever he prefers to be called).

At 9 months her comprehension is this: The lady that feeds me must be my mom. The guy sitting right there next to her must be my dad. Actually, it's not even that advanced. She needs to be corrected, and consistently, if you want her to learn.
