We have a 6mo babygirl and my husband (baby's daddy) says putting diaper rash ointment on her its "weird " for him and he does not want to do it. We had a big argument about it. Actually before this argument we had had the "its weird to change a girls diaper" , i finally got him to change her diaper and now its the diaper rash cream. Can anyone help me. I do not know if to keep on pushing my husband to do it, or should i just drop the argument?

There are a lot of men out there that are super uncomfortable with changing a girl's diaper. My husband has always had issues with it (he won't even give our daughter a bath!). This is one of those pick your battle situations. At least you have gotten him to change diapers, don't push the cream if he really isn't comfortable with it.

I am not going to lie to you it may not be a bad thing that he is having a hard time with it (I Work Sex Crimes) this is what he is afraid of, (getting in trouble for sexual molestation) my husband too. With all the TV and crime shows etc, try to remind him that it is for he well being and she could get very sick if he doesn't do it. If it is still truly that much of an issue to him and there is really a way around it let him off the hook. This has truly become a stigma in today's society to the point that daddy's can't even change their own daughters diaper without feeling judged. It really has become a true issue for some men. I am not giving him a ticket out of helping tell him if he is off diaper duty he is on bathroom cleaning or something like that (that is what we do) I haven't cleaned a bathroom in 3 years! I hope I helped.
