Every time that we go out or have a small family get together, mem's dad decides that he wants to come pick her up and take her out on that day.
The worst part is that he thinks money is going to prove who is the better patent.
I'm new tho the group any advice on how too deal with this mess.

Duplicate post:
Keep a careful journal of activity and how much time your child is with you and with dad. If the child currently resides with you and visits dad, I think is is fine for you to request some notice before he picks her up. The more civil you can be with each other the better it will be for everyone. What is your current arrangement?

ETA: Then really the best thing to do is get those rules ironed out in court. It will benefit your child to know when and where she will be going and with whom.

Just informing each other of plans is clearly not working. You need to have a court ordered visitation arrangement so that there are no grey areas. Then he has no choice but to stick to the plan and you don't need to tell him what you are doing on YOUR time. A visitation agreements sets out arrangements so that you don't have to put up with him just showing up whenever you have plans.

Yes we informed one another of our plans through out the month so we don't bump heads. To me it's just that he wants to be in control of everything, and when I don't give in He acts this way.

What do your custody and visitation orders say about it? If you have specified visitation, then you can organise to go out or have family get togethers around his visitation and it won't be a problem for anyone. After all, your child's father is not a mind reader. He's not to know you have made other plans.
