My four year old daughter often complains of abdominal problems.I've taken her to the ER three times because she had blood in her stool but they could never find the cause. They did X-rays and everything came back normal every time. I just recently switched her pediatrician because she wasn't doing anything about her abdominal problems...She still plays the same and she dont really cry about it except on days her tummy hurt so it really don't affect her much. Lately she has been really hungry no matter how much I feed her she is hungry again within the next hour and a half which is odd bc she usually don't eat much. I don't know if this is a symptom or a growing spurt. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing my baby's stomach pain and bloody stool? I'm taking her to her new pediatrician tommorrow to see if he can refer me to a pediatric gastrointerologist. They are very rare down here. I heard it has only two of them that travels here to see their patients.

yeah she had chronic constipation in the past. They gave her some lactulose it help. Last night they gave her an X-ray they said she was not constipated and everything seemed normal. She does have trouble passing her BM and she wont go if any one is in there with her. She makes me get out. I just hope we find the cause because it was a good bit of blood in her BM lastnite. It scared me and thanks so much for your response..

My son had the same problem except that he was extremely constipated, he was clogged up so badly that they originally thought he had appendicitis because around the appendix area was really hard.

No problem. My daughter had it so bad she was throwing up at school. I was mad that she wasn't diagnosed sooner. I really hope that helps.

Acid reflux is what caused my daughter's stomach pain. She was in a TON of pain and I had the same issues. No one would listen and it took forever to get a diagnosis.
