My daughter went to Australia in January and met someone that she fell for. He is 5 years older and lives and works in Switzerland. She is now in London for her junior year semester and they are still seeing one another. Help-- need advice.

You don't need help at all. Be happy for your daughter. How old is your daughter? Obviously old enough to be living out of home if she has been travelling.
My husband is Canadian and he moved here to Australia and found me. When we got marries his Mother knew he would never move back to Canada but she has never said anything to us about it. It was his choice to live on the other side of the world and he can live his life how he wants.

Ok, your daughter is an adult, and this man is an adult, and they are forming a relationship. What help do you need? Be happy for them, accept that your daughter isn't your little baby any more, and she's going to have a life of her own.

SO WHAT if the person that she's fallen in love with isn't the same nationality? SO WHAT if he's 5 years her senior? My husband is 5 years and 2 months my senior, and we've been married for 25 years.

Do your daughter a huge favor. Accept her choices, and love her.

I also don't know why you need help. You should be happy for them. My parents also come from two different countries. And they are still together and in love after all these years.

Why do you need advice? Your daughter met a man she cares about. Be happy for her?
