Hi all,

My daughter is 16 months old and I am currently doing some research on daycare and Montessori school in Markham. Any suggestion? It looks like I can only put her in full time five days a week or half day 2 to 3 days a week. Is there a daycare or Montessori that I can put my daughter in 3 days a week full time? I am thinking of starting when she is 18 months. Please help. She is my first child and I have no clue.

Thanks!

Hi,

No I haven't. I am going to check the directories today. Thanks for the advice!

Do you personally know any good daycare around the area?

Thanks.

Montessori isn't regulated. Schools can use the Montessori name and only loosely implement the methods. You really need to research the school and figure it if it's the right level of Montessori for your daughter - if you want to go that route.

I'll add too that Montessori is a terrible fit for some children. It can be wonderful for children who suit it well. and a terrible experience for children aren't a good match.

Usually daycares are more flexible on hours than nursery schools and preschools.

Have you looked up child care and parent services directories for Markham?
