A lot is going to depend on what you are wanting. A nanny/babysitter is going to be able to give more one-on-one with your baby. In a daycare setting your baby is going to have less one-on-one but more interaction with kids. Both have their pros and cons. Kids learn TONS from each other (both good and bad : ) ). You may also want to do a combo of nanny/babysitter and daycare. Having a nanny when the baby is very little and then doing either daycare or a preschool when the child becomes more of a toddler. I would say visit some day cares see what they are like and how they work. Talk to some nannies see how they work.
