Hello my name is mechelle. Me and my husband had our first child Ayden Champion on Dec 10, 2013. We were so excited upon his arrival because we waited for a long time to conceive. The day after my son was born we found out that he had a very critical heart disease and that we had a very long road ahead of us. Our son was rushed to the PCICU (Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) for further treatment. Our son lived for 31 days before he passed away. During these 30 days I learned so much about my son. He was such a strong baby and I miss so much. Its so hard for me daily to go on because I can see his little face in my mind. I have to walk past his room, and be reminded that he is not here with us anymore. Just wondering if anything will make this road easier or if you guys have any ideas.

A number of older people in my family have lost babies. One of my grandmas and one of my husband's aunts each had a baby who died at the hospital. My mother in law lost a brother when he was an older baby and my dad's cousin had a baby die of SIDS. Of course, all of this was years ago, but I can tell you that everybody got through it in time, and everybody remembered the baby and always loved them dearly.

I'm sure that you'll find a support group to be very helpful. Again, I'm really sorry this happened.

I'm so, so sorry that this happened to you. I don't have any real advice, but I just wanted to post and say that I'm sorry. Losing a child is hugely tragic. Did the hospital put you in touch with any support groups?

No they haven't CHET MC but I was thinking of calling them to see if maybe the could. I feel it would be very beneficial to me and my husband to be around others that have dealt with the same thing. I have just been so busy planning his funeral, but now that it's finally over I can actually call. I'm only 22 years old , and I feel like my life is over
