Dealing with the First Year after Loss

Shan-Nel - posted on 04/20/2012 ( 2 moms have responded )

This Sunday will be 1 full year since I gave birth to and loss my daughter. This week has seem so surreal as I have been trying to deal with it.

I created a blog to honor my daughter. That seems to help a little.

It just hurts very much because I was so looking forward to parenthood and raising my child. Since she was my first and only child, I really do not know what to do anymore as far as future children -- that is a very mixed emotions subject for me.

If you any of you like, I would love for you to visit my blog and learn more about my experiences during this first year. Hoping my experience and my daughter's life can mean something and help someone else.

Little Miss Can't Be Wrong- I don't understand how your first statement to me is kind of cruel. I know you state it's not out of insensitivity but it IS insensitive. I merely was inviting people to read my experience and to share my daughter with what I thought was friends on here since we are all Moms who been through this. If you did not want to visit the blog, you didn't have to but to write your comment of "no interest" (although that's fine if that's how you feel) is rather mean to express.

Thanks for you condolences but I really do not know what outcome you were expecting in writing what you wrote.

I have no interest in reading your blog. Not out of insensitivity, but out of total heartbreaking sadness. I just wanted to reach out to you and wish you well during this sad time. My condolences are sincerely with you and your family. I hope this time passes quickly for you with nothing but fond memories.
