We were just sent home with a Dennis Brown Brace for our 16month old. He is to wear it while sleeping and at naps. Last night didnt go very well, he lasted about 5 hours before we both felt bad and took him out of it because he cried to move and/or roll over. Any tips or suggestions for this would be greatly appreciated!

Dennis Brown Braces do take a little getting use too and the first week or so will be the toughest. If you saw a prosthesis maker to have the device fitted to your child or you see a physical therapist, give them a call and ask for advice. You can try propping your child from side to side with pillows supporting his back. I am not super well versed in caring for babies with this device but I found a ink with a few tips. The most important info is that baby will get use to it sooner than you think. Good Luck!

I am not sure what those are for but if your doctor has issued orders for this to be worn then it must be needed. Like with anything we do in life, something new takes time to get used to. You should direct this question to your doctor because none of us are doctors here nor do we know your child's case and why he is to wear this type of brace.
