Halo, everyone!
I have a 5 year old daughter, that still doesn't speak properly. She had developed her own language that is consisted of some words, voices, mimique, that only me and her father can understand (or, sometimes, not). There is a long list of what we've done to resolve this problem, but with no results. She is attending logopedy therapy, but it doesn't seem to help. All the experts that we have seen so far say that she is a unique case. A unique case of what? Other than speech problem, she is fully developed child. According to some tests, in some cases she is even far in front of other children of her age. Now, what can we do more to try and resolve this problem? What should we check? Any advice? Any idea? Thank you all in advance!

I presume she has had traditional screening; hearing, cognition, receptive skills etc. Has she had any type of physical exam of her mouth and larynx; to be certain there is no physical reason for her delay. Also, has she been evaluated for any sort of brain injury or abnormal development in the language processing parts of her brain? This must be so frustrating for you. If you ask her to copy what you say, can and will she do it?
