I had a difficult birth with my second child. I almost died. I feel alone and scared and am always thinking about death. I just need to speak to someone who knows what i'm going through. I want to know what i need to do to get better. I am already on anti-depressants and have been for the past 4 years. I feel i need people and advice. I live in Durban and we don't seem to have any groups who get together about this type of thing. PLEASE HELP!

Thank you for your reply. Louise, i am sorry. I haven't updated my details. My second child is a boy and he is six months old. I don't want you to think i have been like this for the past 4 years. I have been on the tablets for unrelated issues.

You have been through a traumatic experience and there is nobody out there that understands. I understand. I was in a difficult situation with my daughter and had to have an emergency c section so we would both be ok. nobody wants to listen as they have no idea of what it was like to stare death in the face. All I can say is you need to see a councilor to talk things out in your head after 4 years you should of processed these emotions by now. All the tablets in the world are not going to take the painful memories. You have done the right thing by seeking advice from the doctors but now you need to go back and ask to be referred to a councilor. you have to learn to move on now and focus on the good positive things in your life, like the health and welbeing of your daughter. So make the first step today and pick up the phone and take the first positive steps to coming out of this depression. xx
