What do you think or know about the ( affects or is it effects) on a 4th grader being sent to the Principal's office for minor things and things that were not addressed through classroom management? Any studies or experiences on this topic?

How do you know these things weren't addressed through classroom management? It is highly possible they were, but your child was non-compliant.

I think that, if a 4th grader isn't following classroom directions, they need to be addressed. First with the teacher, then with the teacher and parent, and then, if the behaviour isn't corrected, by as many trips to the principal's office as necessary.

If the behaviour has not been addressed in classroom directions, then the parent needs to request a meeting with the teacher and principal to resolve the problem.
