My son Clayton refuses to do anything, just plain lazy. Just wants to set on PlayStation . When finally does something such as take out trash he has got to be a smart Alec and disrespectful. He has been thru a lot tho as far as real dad and step fathers. He currently has a great step dad but he to afraid to put fear of God in him and do anytjing
But he shows love etc. The 7 year old is hardheaded...and instigates. He whines to get his way and runs to his real dad to tattle on me if I trt to discipline him. I feel his dad sticks up for him most of the Time. He is getting in trouble at school due to disruptive behavior and on bus and in neighborhood. He threw ice tea on a boy..not sure why but its created additional hardship in neighborhood. His dad says its just kids being silly etc but does not condone it at all. Any advice y'all????

Time to take the playstation away, then, isn't it?

And so what if your 7 year old runs to his real dad. Dad's rules don't apply in your house and he's going to have to learn that. It's none of dad's business.

Are you the mother or the stepfather writing this post?

And you allow this to happen? How about being the parent and start making your sons mind you and do what is to be done or they do not get to have fun on the game machine, go out to play with others and such? You need to get control of your 7 year old and teach him it is not right to do what he is doing in school. You need to get together with dad and school and figure out some kind of behavior plan for this kid before he walks all over you. As for the 11 year old, take the stupid video games and put them up where he can not find them or give them away. If you are so needful of him to do chores, quite enabling him letting him sit there with the games and continue playing. Give him a choice, do the chores or no games. Easy as that. If he does not respond like you wish then you can take other things away.
