Well well..I really cannot decide whether to start my young boy on concerta or not..He was diagnosed with ASD almost at the age of 2.Since then he is on behaviuoral therapy, speech therapy..but only mild improvement.. still he is nonverbal... his therapist claim that he is too hyperactive to learn or to be trained.a lot of pushing to start him on anything to control the hyperactivity...but Iam scared of the side effects...can anyone help me...

My hubby has tried them all and advises that concerta is probably one of the worst to start them on because it's a very overwhelming stimulant and even the side effect of loss of appetite is applied even with the smallest milligram. What has your doctor said about it?

If your child is ADHD you are more than likely going to have to try different medications to find the right one that doesn't have as harsh side effects to him and his body.
