Do the baby worrys ever let up?

My beautiful son Jackson will be 7 this May, and I swear I still get up probably 5 times during the night too make sure he is covered up and still breathing. I just wake up out of a dead sleep and go check on him. Some nights are worse than others. I am wondering if this has something to do with me being extra sleepy in my thirtys. lol I just wanted too see if there are mothers out there that are just as big a worry wart as me.

Especially since your child is not an infant; have you always done this or it is a new behavior. I still peek in on my kids occasionally, usually on my way to bed; turn off lights and remove glasses they have fallen asleep wearing while reading. Unless I heard something I'd not get out of bed to check on them.

Yeah, I'm with Dove here. I still may look in on my kid at night, but I stopped checking every hour or so when they were still infants.

Perhaps some counseling is in order. I'm not saying you're a BAD mom. Not by any means. Over anxious, yes.

Honestly... w/ that much worry I'd seriously consider seeking counseling. It's one thing to check on your kids occasionally at night if you are awake anyway, but to wake up from a dead sleep just to check on him and it happening so many times/night... that is a concerning amount of anxiety.
