Do you do end of the year gifts for your child's teachers?

My son is graduating from pre-school on Friday and we would really like to get his teacher and the classroom assistant a gift. I was wondering if most parents do this, and if so what do you get them? I was thinking a gift card but not exactly sure how much or if there is a better gift, or no gift at all? Please let me know!

I have seen the hours she puts in, the concern, the care, the skill. I know she faces a summer of advanced education she will pay for herself. I know she is gearing up for 30+ kids in her class next year. I know she works, on average, from 7-7 everyday and on weekends.

So, yes, I will offer her something :)

She has been grumbling about office supplies, so I think I will get her that. Many of the kids supplies and offices supplies she needs for class she buys herself; most teachers do.

I got my daughters teacher a tribute to her mother. SHe was very involved in a certain charity. We also named a star after her. As far as gift cards we got her one to Panera for $5 and one to Dunkin Donuts for $5.
