Do you get any help from your siblings??

Just wondering for any of you who have brothers or sisters. Do your little ones know them well as uncle or aunt? How much time do they invest into your little ones lives??

I am wondering this question because I am thinking about having a sit down with my siblings and really sharing my feelings about their lack of participation in my child's life. She doesn't even barely know them.

My only bio sibling lives across the country and we haven't seen him in 6.5 years. My kids see his pic on Facebook, but that's the only relationship they have with him.

My brother and sister don't live in the same town as me, but when they come to visit, they try to make sure they have a full day to spend with us. My daughter knows them as Aunt and Uncle and she loves them both to pieces even though she only sees them a few times a year.

I have an older brother, he has a two year old boy that's a month older than my daughter, I also have a 6 year old son. He is very much involved in my kids lives, but I rarely see my nephew. We live 4 hours away from my family and I work retail so it's hard for me to go visit but my kids go to my parents during long weekends and school breaks. I can't even go to my nephews birthday parties because it's the week before my sons and I only get one weekend off a month. Although I would probably be more involved if I live closer I can't honestly say how much more I love my kids but I don't necessarily enjoy other peoples kids.

I have 2 sisters. They live in a different town. We try to visit 3-4 times a year. Even though we don't see them often, my 3 year old knows who they are. My 22m old will play shy at first when we go, but comes around quickly. My nephew and nieces know who I am. I wish we could have a closer relationship, but I simply can't afford to travel the 7 hour drive more than we do. We try to make it more about quality than quantity though.
