This time last year, I was desperately searching online for a way to get rid of my son's worsening molluscum without having them removed by a dermatologist. I'm not sure if anyone on this thread is still currently looking for help, but in case...
We found something that worked like a miracle, so I'm trying to get the word out to other moms who are struggling. We used 2 things on my son recommended by a nutritionist. One is a chewable vitamin taken twice per day called "Ultra Preventative Kids" made by Douglas Laboratories. The other is a liquid her called "Core Para-V Blend" made by energetix. You take the herb 3 times per day mixed in juice because it tastes horrible. I put it in a medicine cup with juice. To determine the amount of drops to use, you multiply your child's age by 3.
We had already tried several homeopathic remedies over a period of 6-8 months, including Emuaid Max, Zymaderm, and Frankencense essential oil, and they helped some, but the weren't going away, just getting smaller and less red. After 2 weeks of the above treatment, they were DISAPPEARING!!! It took 4-6 weeks of the treatment before they were totally gone. No pain, no scarring, no blisters, nothing. Just disappeared. I hope you get the same results if you try it.

Listen to me! My daughter and her cousing were treated multiple times at their primary care physician. That gets expensive. We looked on line and decided to try Silvercure. What the heck it worked. Painless and compared to doctor visits very inexpensive. I would highly recommend it.

my daughter had it off and on its just going away now after 8 months. Alot of her friends had it. I think she got it from a pool. The doctor put cream on them that burned them off and then they came back and just went away on there own.

Both my daughters had it as babies. My older daughter had it on her side and back, so it was up under her clothes for the most part. She had it from the time she was about a year old until probably 2 1/2 or 3. My youngest had it as a younger baby, it was on the inside of one thigh. It was awful looking, I remember some other mothers kindof giving her and I some looks about it when she would have on little summer outfits that showed her legs. The doctors told us not to do anything about it, so we let it run its course. No one ever caught it from them. The doctors told me it was from a virus inside the body, so while it is contagous, it doesn't spread through skin contact. I sypathize, I know how "icky" it looks. But it will go away after what seems like forever, and thankfully, leaves no scars (at least ours didn't-I don't know about if you have it treated).

I had a foster child who had it once. The doctor said it was common and it would go away on its own in about a year and a half. He was extremely nonchalant about it. We did the tea tree oil thing and that helped it. Hers never really spread, and they stayed small in size. She staye with us for about 4 months and none of us ever caught it including my oldest daughter ( little one wasn't born yet) who played very closely with her.

Molluscum Contagiosum lesions are flesh-colored, dome-shaped, and pearly in appearance. They are often 1–5 millimeters in diameter, with a dimpled center....

Molluscum...if they are bumps on his body...then YES. My daughter has it. Before I get more into detail about it, I will wait for you to reply and verify that I am thinking of the right thing.

One more thing, be careful when popping them...my son got a few infections from popping and the doc was concerned about staph.

Tea tree oil applied with a cotton swab every night really helped take away my son's. He is 5 and it was gross-all over his legs. It just made tiny scabs and after a month everything was gone. I have a friend who took her daughter to have it burned off and she regrets it because it made little scars (pox marks) all over. Good luck! It's a bummer.

My five year old has it and her doctor is actually getting us something from an apothecary, some herbal supplement that takes care of them in abotu three days.  I wish I remembered what it was called, but when we get it I will post back here what it is called.  I didn't want to burn them off either.  Her doctor said that they will eventually go away on their own but it can take over a year!  That being said, it isn't supposed to pose any threat to their health, but it is contagious.

All 3 of my kids had it as did 3 of my nephews. My kids' doc wouldn't say WHY they all had it but I am group B strep positive and think that had something to do with them getting it since they had it when they were small. We had them removed either my having them pulled out by the root or using a topical wart remover.

Thank You. This is just horrible, I am so sick of it! He is 2 and a half. How old was your child when infected? We have been giving him Omega 3 and tea tree oil on site and popping them on our own. Have not gone through burning/scraping since he is so small and not sure how he would do with that. He has molluscum on inside of his arm and back of legs, a few on his stomach, back and even worse some on his genitals... I definitely have an open mind and so does his father. We just want him to be cured and the molluscum to be GONE!!!!! You know what I am going through I am sure... Thank you for the recommendation!

How old is your son? My son has had it since he was about 10 months he's two now. His comes up under his chin so you can't really see it at all. My pediatrician gave us the option to burn it off but we opted not to since it doesn't bother him and it's a painful procedure. Although it is contagious his older sister and younger brother have never gotten it from him. Right now he doesn't have any so I'm hoping that means we're done.
