Hi ladies,

I'm in a postion where i might have to put my 2 children in the same room.

1 will be 2yrs old and the other newborn.

I'm a bit concerned all they will do is wake each other up all the time and no-one will get any sleep.

but i also have no choice.

is there anyone out there that has had to do the same thing? how did it work? any tips would be greatly appreciated

many thanks

Anna

I kept the baby in my room in a side car until they slept all night.

i am most worried about the toddlers curiosity and accidentally harming the baby...i would suggest that you not have them together unless you are confident the toddler wont try to climb into the crib and also have a good monitor...i also agree that the toddler may have sleep interruptions that could cause crabbiness or sleep problems...i wish you all the best

My two boys shared a room. However, I waited until my newborn was 6mo's old and basically sleeping through the night before I moved him in with his 2yr old brother. If not you are in for a disaster in my honest opinion.

My 2yr old needed a full nights sleep, so until your newborn is sleeping through the night I would have them rooming in with you or u sleeping in the living room with the baby next to you in a bassinet.
